Holiday {Breathe} ~

This past September, our family took a little break from the everyday ~ no Kitkat bar, though ~ and headed out on a road trip.  Our destination?  A wonderful little place near Tofino, B.C called Ocean Village Beach Resort.  Our goal?  To experience a holiday that we, and our children, would REMEMBER years from now with great fondness and a big heap of nostalgia.  To nourish a love for new places and an appreciation for roots set down long ago.  To deeply BREATHE in the sights, smells, sounds, tastes, and textures of each day.

The following is a "short" (i.e. only a fraction of the photos actually taken) pictorial with a few verbal interludes where explanation is warranted.

Rich and Angela are two of the nicest people I know - always smiling and always willing to lend a hand.  I have a hard time believing they have EVER spoken a cross word to each other.  And they have the sweetest trio of children - a little bit shy, a little bit giggly, and a whole lot of smiles :)  It was a pleasure to photograph this beautiful (inside and out) family.

Poor Hope got a thistle in her finger, but she toughed it out with a little cuddle from Mom :)

I kid you not ~ these 2 girls have more energy than my four boys put together!  We definitely kept active during this photo session, although I'm not sure Peter and Theresa figured it would be an evening  of play-time at the park!
